Biographie

Ernest Webb is an Indigenous Cree filmmaker and storyteller, born in James Bay and raised in the Cree community of Chisasibi. In 2001, he co-founded Rezolution Pictures, based in Montreal, with Catherine Bainbridge. Webb has become a pivotal figure in Canadian media, creating documentaries that illuminate Indigenous cultures, histories, and issues with profound integrity and trust built through respectful collaboration. He has served as executive producer and director on landmark works including the Sundance-featured, three-time Canadian Screen Award–winning Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World, the acclaimed series Mohawk Girls, and the thought-provoking feature Reel Injun.
