The full program lineup for the 31st edition of CINEMANIA is now online!

From November 4 to 16, 2025Montreal will pulse to the rhythm of the best in francophone cinema. On the schedule: 175 works including feature films, short and medium-length films, documentaries, series, and virtual reality experiences from around the world, plus galasTV premieres, and over 150 international guests who will come meet the Montreal public.

True to its tradition of closeness with artists, CINEMANIA will bring 12 days of cinematic excitement to the city, with a record number of accompanied screeningsred carpets, and audience encounters that will reignite the prestige of the 7th art and the shared joy of experiencing powerful emotions on the big screen.

Prestigious Guests

Some of the most beloved and celebrated artists will be in attendance to present their films and engage with the audience.

Among them, Juliette Binoche will present her documentary In-I in motion and take part in a free public talk on November 7 at Usine C.

Arnaud Desplechin, Monia Chokri, Raphaël Quenard, Reda Kateb, Jérôme Commandeur, Brigitte Poupart, Léa Pool, Jérémie Renier, Charlotte Le Bon, Joséphine Japy, Céline Bonnier, and many others will be in Montreal to showcase their films and meet with festivalgoers.

Festival Highlights


This year’s edition will be marked by three major cinematic moments:

- Opening Film: On sera heureux by Léa Pool, starring Mehdi Meskar, Alexandre Landry, and Céline Bonnier

- 31st Edition Gala Night: Où vont les âmes by Brigitte Poupart, with Sara Montpetit, Monia Chokri, and Sylvie Testud

- Closing Film: Les enfants vont bien by Nathan Ambrosioni, starring Camille Cottin, Juliette Armanet, and Monia Chokri

Two CRAVE Gala Screenings will also energize the lineup:

- La petite dernière by Hafsia Herzi, winner of an acting award at Cannes

- L’âme idéale, the debut feature by Alice Vial, starring Magalie Lépine-Blondeau and Jonathan Cohen

Premieres & Competitions

This year, CINEMANIA unveils an impressive lineup of world, Quebec, and Canadian premieres, solidifying its status as the leading francophone film festival in the Americas.

Among the most anticipated titles:

- Connemara by Alex Lutz (Festival de Cannes)

- 13 jours, 13 nuits by Martin Bourboulon (Festival de Cannes)

- Trois amies by Emmanuel Mouret (Venice International Film Festival)

- Vie privée by Rebecca Zlotowski (Toronto International Film Festival & Cannes)

- Les Braises by Thomas Kruithof

- Jeunes mères by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne (Best Screenplay, Festival de Cannes)

- Sirât by Oliver Laxe (Jury Prize, Festival de Cannes)

- Enzo by Robin Campillo (Festival de Cannes)

A diverse competition program will also be showcased, including: Visages de la Francophonie, Films du Québec, Documentaries, Short Films The films in competition will be judged by an outstanding jury, including Anne Dorval, Niels Schneider, Charlotte Le Bon, Laura Felpin, Farida Benlyazid, and Thierry Klifa. In total, more than 200 screenings will take place over the 13-day festival and half of them will be presented in person by their filmmakers and/or cast.

The Kingdom of Morocco in the Spotlight

Following France last year, Morocco will be in the spotlight this year.Screenings, an exhibition, and a festive evening will celebrate a new generation of bold filmmakers, from Sofia Alaoui to Farida Benlyazid.


A Breath of Fresh Air with Juste pour rire

The section Un vent de légèreté, presented by Juste pour rire, will spotlight comedy in all its forms romantic, satirical, or family-centered. Nine films will be in the running for the Prix du Public Juste pour rire, including Le Répondeur by Fabienne Godet, Classe moyenne by Antony Cordier, and La pire mère au monde by Pierre Mazingarbe.

Special Events Not to Miss

CINEMANIA also offers exclusive encounters and unique moments:

- Conversation with Juliette Binoche: a rare exchange on her career and her connection to dance (November 7, Usine C).

- “Regards croisés” Comedy in Cinema: with Laura Felpin and Jérôme Commandeur, hosted by Patrick Fabre (November 15).

- Dialogue between Monia Chokri and Nahuel Pérez Biscayart: an in-depth discussion about the craft of acting (November 16).

- La Nuit de la Série: on November 12 at Cineplex Odéon Quartier Latin, featuring brand-new Québecois series.

- Exhibition “Montreal Cinemas Through the Ages”: on Émery Street, from October 20 to November 20.
