Pier Ulmann (brilliantly-played by Quebec’s Niels Schneider who won Cesar 2017 for Most Promising New Discovery), barely scrapes-by in a life of petty crime in Paris. He blames his father’s dynasty of wealthy Antwerp diamond-dealers for his father’s tragic life and death -- Pier’s uncle had taken control of the family business and pushed his father out. He plans to charm his way into the bosom of his Antwerp family, eventually staging a robbery that will ruin them and avenge the wrongs suffered by his father.
