This year, the French Film Festival CINEMANIA celebrates its 30th anniversary from November 6th to 17th, with France as the Country of Honor.
To officially launch this anniversary edition, we are delighted to present the festival poster, created for the third consecutive year by Montreal illustrator Clémence Lengaigne. Fresh, dynamic, and evocative, it reflects our passionate commitment to tomorrow’s French-speaking cinema.
The sharpest eyes will recognize a photograph from Lukas Dhont’s feature film CLOSE, starring the remarkable actor Eden Dambrine. This magnificent drama won the CINEMANIA Jury Prize two years ago, awarded by co-presidents Cédric Klapisch and Pascale Bussières. This reference to the Franco-Belgian film recalls one of CINEMANIA's main mandates: to promote international Francophone cinema and its talents. With this choice, we also wanted to pay tribute to the festival's audience, as CLOSE also won the Audience Award by a wide margin.
