Khédidja works for an affluent Parisian family who offers her the chance to take care of their children for a summer in Corsica, the island she left with her two daughters fifteen years ago in tragic circumstances. As Khédidja grapples with her memories, the two teenagers indulge in all the temptations of summer: unexpected encounters, mischief, and first romantic experiences. Competing for the Palme d'Or at the last Cannes Film Festival, Homecoming is a film that is both luminous and poignant, touching on themes of family, social classes, and youth.
