Chronicles the unbreakable friendship of three teenagers, Max, Vivian, and Tom, as the older brother of one of them is released from prison and exerts a toxic influence on the group. Michaël Dichter captures adolescence in the bohemian Ardennes of Rimbaud, featuring Emmanuelle Bercot as the sole maternal figure in the film—a Dickensian, castrating presence—and Raphaël Quenard as a lost, almost perverse James Dean, driven by jealousy over a lost innocence. An ode to friendship, surrounded by foundational themes in cinema: filiation and brotherhood. The film is adapted from a short film by the same director, which won an award in 2020.
