The Visages de la Francophonie competition is a window on today's international Francophone production. The 10 films in the competition are by established and emerging filmmakers alike, tackling head-on the social and cultural realities of diverse countries and societies.
Six awards will be presented at the closing ceremony on Sunday, November 12th at 5pm at Impérial.
- Prix TV5 Québec-Canada for Best Film (3 000 $ prize).
- Prix du Jury Marc-André Lussier - Presented by La Presse (25 000 $ prize of promotional and advertising services).
- Sofitel Montréal Award for Best Performance (1 000 $ prize).
- SACD Award for Best Screenplay (2 000 $ prize).
- Prix Colombier-Dompierre for Best Music - Presented by ÉCHO SONORE, in partnership with the Consulat Général de France à Québec (1 000 $ prize).
- Elle Québec and CINEMANIA have teamed up to create a new cross-cutting award for the Visages de la Francophonie and Films du Québec competitions: the Prix de la Réalisatrice. It will be awarded to a female filmmaker for the best fiction in this category ($2,000 prize and profile in Elle Québec).
